BALOTELLI HAS ITALIAN FUTURE
The Italian national team manager Cesare Prandelli has said that the Manchester city striker Mario Balotelli has a future with the national team, but he needs to sort out his attitude. Mario Balotelli has been recognised as one of the best talents in the world football, with many claiming that he has the capability to go on and win many individual accolades.
However, he has also been causing a lot of problems with his poor attitude, which has been a cause of concern for the Italian national team manager. Despite this, he picked him for the Euro 2012 and Balotelli did not disappoint after he was one of the stars of the major tournament.
Mario Balotelli was not in the squad that faced England in a recent friendly match due to an injury problem. Italy were defeated 2-1 in the friendly match, while the Manchester city striker was also not included in the squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches. However, the Italian national team manager has said that Balotelli is an important striker for Italian football and he will be playing a major part of the efforts by the nation to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
"We were hoping Mario would recover in time to face England, but it wasn't to be. I want to give him a key role in the long term and I expect him to accept responsibility when I do. We're ready to start the new season with a lot of enthusiasm and we want to do well. I've seen in the eyes of my players that they want to get off to a good start. We want to continue down the path we forged at the European Championships, now that we've gained more credibility," said Prandelli regarding the international future of Balotelli.
