Mario Balotelli slow Performance for Liverpool

Liverpool’s Mario Balotelli has scored 2 goals in 14 appearances; this is a very poor record for a player that cost the Premier League club €16 million, that money could have been spent on signing a more consistent player but this risk was well known to Brendan Rodgers as the manager was well aware of he what he was doing once he signed the Italian attacker who has not helped fill in the gap that was left by Luis Suarez.

There are a few theories that are going on as to why Balotelli is underperforming so much with Liverpool. One of those is that he hasn’t found a proper teammate to play alongside with as almost the entire Liverpool team has been struggling in this season.

Another theory is that Brendan Rodgers is not building his team around the Italian forward and maybe if the manager decides to change this around in favor of Balotelli and to what he has to offer in the pitch, it could improve the performances of Mario Balotelli.

However, according to the agent of Mario Balotelli, he is underperforming so significantly due to him missing his daughter, Pia.

"It's wrong to criticize him. He needs to be given time to adapt at Liverpool. His difficult time is not connected to football, but to the fact he can’t see his daughter as much as he would like’’ Balotelli’s agent, Raiola stated.

There were rumors which linked Mario Balotelli with a move to the Italian club Napoli as they displayed interest in signing Balotelli on a loan deal which would initiate in January and last until the end of the season but his agent has stepped up and said that Balotelli is not interested in playing for an Italian team ever again.

"Balotelli will never go back to an Italian team. I’ve already made that mistake once, because I listened to him’’ Raiola added on.
