Donnarumma’s Brother hits back at Milan fans

The brother of Gianluigi Donnarumma has taken to Instagram to slam the Milan faithful after they criticised the youngster for turning his back on a new Rossoneri contract.

Donnarumma, 18, has apparently decided to pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere following his decision to decline a fresh contract beyond next summer.
Donnarumma first came to the Serie A scene two years ago as a 16-year-old, and he has since made the number one role his own, thus earning plaudits from fans and pundits galore.

The Rossoneri have already expressed their decision to bolster their squad this summer with the signings of Mateo Musacchio, Franck Kessie, Ricardo Rodriguez and Andre Silva, but this has not done much to influence Donnarumma’s decision.

Donnarumma’s elder sibling Antonio, who plays for AsterasTripolis, took to Instagram to defend his brother insisting that 18-year-old will always remember the club despite his intention to move on, he wrote: “I want to talk to those people who have done nothing but insult Gigio and all of our family. Gigio has been a Milan fan since he was little. Wearing the Milan shirt was a dream for him. He has always honoured that shirt and given his soul for it. He cried after every defeat.

You were all behind Gigio until yesterday, now without knowing anything you are insulting our whole family, writing things that our family wouldn’t wish on our worst enemy.”

Agent Mino Raiola has already begun talks with potential suitors with Manchester United apparently leading the chase for his signature. Jose Mourinho’s team are eyeing a potential replacement for David de Gea, who has begun house-hunting in Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window. Real Madrid have already made initial contact with the Red Devils, but the deal could be delayed for a while due to the shrewd relationship between the clubs.
